Our Eco Lodge upholds the following values;

• To provide educational, adventurous experiences in natural environments and indigenous communities

• To have as little impact as possible on the environment both in the building and operating of the lodge and through the activities offered to guests

• To sustain the cultural integrity of the local people by hiring members of the community and respecting their habitat and traditions

• To generate revenue for the conservation of nature and betterment of local communities through ecotourism initiatives

 

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION

POWER: Electricity in Bandas is efficiently utilized by using only essential electrical appliances and are certified to use very low amount of energy. all bulbs used are energy servers. Outdoor lighting uses solar lights.

SOLAR POWER: All our external lighting is solar powered

LIMITED WATER CONSUMPTION: Use of water is strictly controlled

COMPOSTING: To minimize waste and utilize resources, the lodge has composting facilities where all food excess and waste is transformed into fertilizer

RECYCLING WASTE: All recyclable materials are collected for recycling

PLANTING TREES: We will continue to plant more trees and every guest will be encouraged to pay US $5 to our conservation fund for tree planting or he/she can plant a tree as a memorabilia. We expect to plant 500 trees within 1 year.

• Employment of local community people, skilled and non-skilled

• Buying locally manufactured goods (furniture etc)

• Supporting local government in  building schools, road construction,water projects or build health facilities for the local community

• Promotion of environment protection
